What saint-barth.org collects, why, and the choices you have.

Who we are
saint-barth.org is an independent travel guide to Saint-Barthélemy. This policy explains how the website handles information about its visitors.
Information we collect
We aim to collect as little as possible.
- Usage data. Like most websites, our host keeps standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type and pages visited) for security and to understand general traffic.
- Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC) to see which guides are read and which links to our partner sites are followed. It sets cookies in your browser and processes technical data about your visit (device, pages, approximate location) on Google’s servers; the reports we read are aggregate. It runs only if you accept it in the banner shown on your first visit. You can change your choice at any time with the Cookies link at the bottom of every page.
- Newsletter and forum sign-ups. If you leave your email in the newsletter form or the forum sign-up, it is stored by our host, Netlify, with the form submissions, and used only to send you what you signed up for. Write to us to be removed at any time.
- Your trip list. The guides you save under “My trip” are stored only in your own browser (local storage). They never leave your device and we cannot see them.
We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not collect payment information. Any booking you make happens on a partner's own website.
Cookies
A cookie is a small file a website stores in your browser. The site itself works without cookies; the only ones set here are those of Google Analytics, described above, and only once you have accepted them in the banner. When you follow an affiliate link, our partners may also set their own cookies so a booking can be credited to us. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
Third parties
Some services run by other companies are involved when you use this site: Netlify, which hosts the site and stores the form submissions; Google Analytics, for audience measurement; and the affiliate partners whose links appear in our guides. When you follow a link to a partner, their own privacy policy applies. We do not sell your personal information.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete the personal information a website holds about you, or to object to certain processing. To make a request, contact us.
